Trust and you will be trusted, says the liar to the fool

I have non-supportive friends. Everything I do, they think I’m going to mess up, hurt myself, or something. Yeah, I know I’m clumsy, and I pull some stupid moves often, but it doesn’t mean I’m going to do something and hurt myself, mess up, and screw myself over. I get a bunch of put downs. That’s…

Hurt yourself, take your lumps, be stupid. For all the injuries i’ve had over the years, for all the bad joints, pulled muscles and various other painful things i’ve done i wouldn’t change it for the world. Each one was a trial to overcome and a story to tell, i’ve learnt more about myself and my abilities from the screw ups as i have from my successes. It’s easy to be positive when everything is going right, but see who you are as a person when your body does fail you, see if you can still attack the same move with the same determination after you’ve had to deal with that.

It’s an eye opening experience. Good luck with your training!
